Project Management

I help accomplished scholars and researchers pull off ambitious projects with a lot of moving parts.

If you’re editing an anthology, collection, or special topic journal issue, or if you’re putting together a report with multiple contributors, all the correspondence and myriad details to attend to can divert your time and energy from the conceptual substance of the volume — and your other work.

I free you to focus on the important things by managing communication and logistics for large collaborative projects. I keep such projects running smoothly by:

  • drafting feedback on, editing, and/or abstracting contributions before passing them to you for your comments and edits;
  • managing communications with contributors and with editors at a press or journal;
  • setting up systems that allow you and your co-editors to collaborate efficiently;
  • finalizing and formatting documents and citations according to the specifications of a press or journal;
  • organizing and managing systems that allow you, your co-editors, your contributors, and your publisher to share documents and keep track of versions;
  • managing images, permissions, art logs, and so on;
  • compiling data, such as word counts or contributors’ contact information, for a press.

I have experience managing the editing process for large anthologies through my work as co-editor of The Routledge Companion to the Environmental Humanities (2017), an interdisciplinary volume with 45 contributions, and as project manager for Futures of Comparative Literature (Routledge, 2017), a volume with 64 contributors.

Please contact me about the specifics of your project for a quote. Rates are based on the stage of the project, its length, its complexity, and the number of contributors.
